Harkness Screens to Showcase Hugo™ and Advanced Monitoring Solutions at CineAsia 2025
Bangkok, Thailand; 8th to 11th December 2025. Harkness Screens, the world’s leading provider of projection screens and cinema technologies, is proud to announce its participation at CineAsia 2025, where it will update attendees about its latest innovation, the Hugo™ screen, alongside a full suite of HSG-Labs monitoring and measurement instruments including the Checker, Spectro, and Optimiser.
Building on nearly a century of cinema screen expertise, Harkness Hugo™ represents a new generation of performance-focused screen technology, engineered to deliver exceptional brightness, contrast, and color uniformity across all projection formats; most importantly reducing speckle. There is an 40% improvement in the gain to speckle performance. These attributes ensure its importance when combined with 2026 next-generation laser and HDR systems. Designed for both premium formats and standard auditoria, Hugo™ combines advanced coating science with superior optics ensuring consistent, long-lasting visual quality.
Complementing this breakthrough in screen innovation, Harkness will also demonstrate its HSG-Labs ecosystem; a modular suite of precision monitoring tools that enable cinema operators, integrators, and studios to achieve optimal presentation performance:
- Checker: the portable tool for quick field checks of screen luminance and uniformity.
- Spectro: a high-precision spectroradiometer for advanced spectral measurement of projection light sources.
- Optimiser: software-driven analysis for real-time monitoring and calibration of on-screen image quality.
