Harkness Screens Showcases Innovation and Partnerships at Big Cine Expo 2025 in Chennai

Chennai, India – Harkness Screens, the world’s leading screen technology company, marked another successful year at Big Cine Expo 2025, with strong visitor engagement and a series of impactful showcases that highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation and industry collaboration.

This year’s edition saw higher footfall compared to last year, providing Harkness with an opportunity to present its latest technologies and partnerships to cinema professionals across India and beyond.

One of the key highlights was the introduction of the HSG Labs Checker with Audio Check, an upgraded tool that attracted significant interest from customers familiar with Harkness’ earlier Digital Screen Checker. The new version, with its added audio verification feature, was well received and generated strong enquiries from cinema operators.

Harkness also collaborated for the first time with Red I, a 3D systems company, to create a live demo room experience. To adapt to the smaller room dimensions, a specially designed Hugo screen was showcased, enabling visitors to experience Hugo’s high-performance quality in real time.

Adding to the momentum, Harkness’ Hugo screen technology was prominently featured at the Barco HDR Studio Tour hosted by Prasad Film Labs. The tour allowed participants to experience HDR presentations on Asia’s largest HDR grading suite in Chennai, where a 51ft x 27ft Hugo screen was installed. This collaboration offered customers an immersive look at how Harkness’ premium screens enhance cutting-edge HDR cinema experiences.

“Harkness Screens is proud to once again be part of Big Cine Expo, which continues to be an important platform for us to connect with the cinema industry in India. This year’s event has strengthened our position further, thanks to innovative product launches, successful collaborations, and the opportunity to demonstrate our Hugo screen in real-world HDR applications,” said Mark Ashcroft, CEO of Harkness Screens.

Ashcroft added, “India remains one of the most exciting and rapidly growing cinema markets in the world. We are deeply committed to supporting this growth by providing cutting-edge screen technologies and working closely with our local partners to deliver extraordinary viewing experiences to audiences across the country.”

Harkness Screens remains committed to driving innovation in screen technology and delivering exceptional value to its partners and customers worldwide.
